Areas of Research Supervision
CDP members are able to supervise PhDs in a diverse range of topic areas including British politics; political parties; parliamentary studies; democratic engagement and activism; political communication; media and democracy; national identity; religion and politics; political ideologies, and many more.

Below is a list some of the major funding opportunities for PhD research at the University of Leeds:
- ESRC WRDTP (open to UK and International)
- AHRC WRCoAH (open to UK and International)
- POLIS Scholarships - PhD Scholarship in Politics and International Studies (UK and International)
- Faculty of Social Sciences scholarships for researchers from UK Black, Asian and other minoritised ethnic groups
- Leeds Doctoral Scholarships (UK only)
- Leeds Opportunity Research Scholarship available to prospective postgraduate researchers from Black, Asian and other minoritised ethnic groups
All of the above include full fees + maintenance.
